Raising Dough - The Marchiano's Way
Frank Marchiano built this bakery on simple values: hard work, great food, and giving back to the community. Today, his family carries on that tradition by helping local schools, teams, and organizations raise money the old-fashioned way: with fresh-baked Tomato Pies, Specialty Breads, Oregantas, and 'Take & Bake' Pizzas made right here in Manayunk. Our fundraising partners come back year after year, not just because it works, but because they know we treat them like family. Got an idea that’s not on the table? Just ask , if Frank taught us anything, it’s that we always find a way to say yes.
Marchiano's Bakery Day
Our Classic Fundraiser – Simple, Delicious, and Always a Hit...a tried-and-true one-day event that brings in big results without the fuss. We’ll work with your group to lock in a date, then provide easy-to-use order forms so your team can start pre-selling. On the day of the fundraiser, your fresh-baked orders will be ready to go — hot from our ovens and packed for pickup.
We recommend choosing your date at least six weeks ahead of time so there’s plenty of time to spread the word. Most groups use flyers sent home from school or practice, email family and friends, and post on their website or Facebook page. And while many groups choose a small, focused menu, if someone asks for a favorite item you didn’t include, go ahead and say yes.

Our full lineup is available for fundraisers, but hands down, the stars of the show are our specialty breads, take and bake pizzas and of course, our famous tomato pies.

Gift Certificate/Scrip Program
This is a fundraiser most parents are familiar with at their children’s schools and churches. We are proud to offer a 15% discount on our gift certificates for future use, with no expiration dates. Gift certificates are pre-purchased from Marchiano’s Bakery at a discounted rate, and then sold at full value to customers. For example, a $10.00 gift certificate is purchased for $8.50, with a profit of $1.50 to the organization; if ten people sell 10 certificates, it is a profit of $150.00 to the group. Many groups offer them as part of their “Marchiano’s Bakery Day,” while other groups keep the certificates on hand for sale anytime.
